In this session Paul Ballard will dive into the Outlook Object Model to show off some new features as well as some old tricks while walking through the creation of three useful utility add-ins.  First we’ll take a quick look at how to intercept the sending and receiving of email by creating an add-in that will ensure that if we mention an attachment in an outgoing email that we haven’t forgotten to actually attach it.  Then we’ll look deeper into the MailItem object to add a feature to warn us if we hit Reply when we should have hit ReplyAll.  Lastly, we’ll look at customizing the non-Ribbon portions of the Outlook UI by creating an add-in that will allow you to remove duplicate contact items or appointments by selecting which properties to check and dynamically querying the folder item list using the Outlook Table object.
