Event ID: 1032441927
Language(s): English.
Product(s): Microsoft Office SharePoint Server and Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010.
Audience(s): Pro Dev/Programmer.
Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 has new improvements for customizing the SharePoint user interface. The new Ribbon interface is fully extensible, allowing you to add or remove pieces to easily customize the experience. Also, new user interface controls, such as the dialog framework and the status and notification area, allow you to inform or interact with the user without taking them out of the context of their task or the look and feel of SharePoint. Join us for this webcast where we show you how to use EcmaScript to interact with these new user interface controls using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010.

Presenter: Elisabeth Olson, Program Manager, Microsoft Corporation

Elisabeth Olson has been a program manager with the Microsoft SharePoint team since 2007. Her primary areas of focus are on user experience extensibility, including the new server Ribbon UI, the new UI controls platform, and the software development kit (SDK). Before joining Microsoft, she earned bachelor's degrees in computer science and chemistry at the University of Washington.
