Presenter: Victoria Poncini, Principle SE Network Architect, Microsoft Corporation

Victoria Poncini has been working in wireless technologies for the last 15 years. At AT&T, she worked with an early WAN wireless data offering that uses Cellular Digital Packet Data (CDPD) and PocketNet, the first Web browser phone from AT&T. As an associate technical fellow for the Boeing Company, Victoria worked on wireless LANs on board airplanes, wireless transmissions between the plane and airport gates, and early IEEE 802.11 wireless LAN implementations in the enterprise, and she was the keynote speaker at an ARINC conference in Geneva, Switzerland, where she spoke about designing and testing wireless LANS on board the airplanes. Since joining Microsoft in 1999, Victoria has architected the Microsoft IT wireless network and has been involved in seven wireless patent filings for Microsoft relating to wireless interference detection and mitigation, ubiquitous wireless connectivity exchange, and recently TX BSS rate optimization.
