Branch offices (remote locations) are the critical place where business is done; they are where over 80% of employees work, and are for many businesses the interface between an organization and its customers. As your organization grows, so does the number of branch sites, and as an organization drives efficiency and differentiation, new capabilities are required within existing sites. An organization’s business agility relies on its ability to provision new branch sites and to deploy new capabilities at existing sites. Yet this increase in agility leads to increased IT complexity and cost. Through Branch Infrastructure Optimization, Microsoft can help organizations balance business agility with the costs of IT by delivering on three concepts: 1) consolidating branch office servers through virtualization, 2) centralizing management within the data center, not the branch, and 3) more efficiently using the network. During this session we will talk about the Branch Infrastructure campaign and how organizations can control costs by applying these three best practices.

Presenter: Ibrahim Hamza, Senior Product Marketing Manager, Microsoft Corporation
