Presenter: Stuart Kwan, Principal Group Manager, Microsoft Corporation

Stuart Kwan is Group Program Manager of the Federated Identity Team in the Identity and Security Division at Microsoft.  Stuart leads an engineering team responsible for working with customers and partners to define the requirements and high level design of Microsoft’s next generation digital identity products, including "Geneva" server, framework, and Windows CardSpace "Geneva".  Stuart has been a member of the Active Directory team since joining Microsoft in 1996.  He has served as Group Program Manager of Active Directory, Product Unit Manager of Active Directory, and Director of Program Management for Identity and Access technologies.  Prior to starting full time, Stuart interned with Microsoft on four separate occasions and was a key contributor to the Active Directory Services Interface (ADSI) project.  Stuart graduated from the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario with a Bachelor’s of Applied Science in Computer Engineering.  He lives in Redmond with his wife and two sons, and in his spare time he enjoys playing football and softball and is an automotive and aerospace enthusiast.
