Presenter: JC Cannon, Senior Program Manager, Microsoft Corporation

JC Cannon is a member of the Microsoft SQL Server strategy team. His main areas of focus are information life cycle management, compliance, and security. He works with other members of the SQL Server division to develop a data platform with features that help companies fulfill their security and compliance needs. He also focuses on ensuring that SQL Server is a robust platform for developing effective compliance solutions. Most recently, JC was a privacy strategist in the Microsoft Corporate Privacy Group where he focused on the Microsoft data governance strategy, which involves creating technology that collectively assists customers with meeting their privacy, compliance, and data management needs. While working in the corporate privacy group, JC contributed privacy chapters to the books, Writing Secure Code, Second Edition (Microsoft Press, 2002) and Microsoft Windows Security Resource Kit (Microsoft Press, 2005). JC also authored the book, Privacy: What Developers and IT Professionals Should Know (Addison-Wesley Professional, 2004).
