Presenters: Jeff Jones, Director, Trustworthy Computing, Microsoft Corporation, Ziv Mador, Senior Program Manager and Response Coordinator, Microsoft Corporation, and Jeff Williams, Director, Malware Protection Center, Microsoft Corporation

Jeff Jones is a security strategy director in the Microsoft Trustworthy Computing group. In this role, Jeff draws upon his security experience to work with enterprise chief security officers (CSOs) and Microsoft internal security teams to drive practical and measurable security improvements into Microsoft process and products. Prior to his strategy position at Microsoft, Jeff was the vice president of product management for security products at Network Associates. These recent positions cap a 20-year, hands-on career in security, performing risk assessments, building custom firewalls, and being involved in Darpa security research projects while part of Trusted Information Systems. Jeff is a frequent global speaker and writer on security topics, ranging from the very technical to more high-level, chief corporate officer—focused topics, such as security total cost of ownership (TCO) and metrics. Jeff is also one of the main contributors to the Microsoft Security Intelligence Report.

Ziv Mador is a senior program manager and response coordinator for the Microsoft Malware Protection Center (MMPC). He manages cross-team coordination with the Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC), the Online Crash Analysis and Product Support Service Teams, and other security-focused teams throughout Microsoft to respond to and rectify any significant malware incidents that occur.

As director for the Microsoft Malware Protection Center, Jeff Williams is responsible for a number of critical functions for Microsoft anti-malware research and response, including the monthly release of the Malicious Software Removal Tool, internal and external outreach to security researchers and partner organizations, competitive analysis, and the incubation and business development of new response technologies and methods.
