Vaughn Washington leads the development team for native data access in the data programmability product unit in the Microsoft SQL Server division. He is responsible for building and maintaining world-class Microsoft data providers for SQL Server: Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) and the object linking and embedding database (OLE DB). Vaughn's responsibilities include delivering scalable, performant, and secure client components to internal and external Microsoft customers through APIs that adhere to industry standards and expectations while also showcasing the unique SQL Server value proposition.
