Windows Deployment Services is the new name for the updated and redesigned version of Remote Installation Services (RIS) in Microsoft Windows Server code-named "Longhorn." Windows Deployment Services is a technology that assists with the rapid adoption and deployment of Windows operating systems. You can use it to set up new computers through a network-based installation without needing to be physically present at each computer, and without having to install directly from CD media. Join this webcast for an introduction to Windows Deployment Services and a technical overview of its features and capabilities.
