This webcast is a technical discussion about the storage management features in Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2. Microsoft is working diligently to simplify storage management, and Windows Server 2003 R2 is one result of that effort. This discussion focuses on two key storage features, the Storage Manager for SANs (SMfS) and the File Server Resource Manager (FSRM). Demonstration from a physical system requires an actual SAN storage device, so during this webcast we demonstrate the SMfS and FSRM functionality with a virtual computer, using a virtual small computer system interface (SCSI) hard disk with some custom scripting.
