TechNet Webcast: Agility Now (Part 05 of 10): Refining the Desktop Environment and Planning for Future Operating System Deployment (Level 200)
Event ID: 1032306325
Language(s): English.
Product(s): Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
Audience(s): IT Implem_IT Generalist.

In part five, we return to the standardized desktop image we created in the previous session, and apply it consistently to the internal client computers at Contoso. We examine the resulting benefits of the standardized desktop image, including a reduction in the number of deployed operating systems, simplified support, and access to a wider range of features that take advantage of newer technologies. See how to implement an update management solution that ensures all client computers are kept up-to-date. We also show how to prepare Contoso's infrastructure for its next operating system upgrade using the XImage disk imaging tool.
