In this part of our Windows Server 2008 series, we cover the new Active Directory features and concepts introduced in Windows Server 2008. We show you new functionality and installation options that offer a more flexible and secure deployment, and also cover Active Directory Delegation for distributed administration. Finally, we discuss a new feature in Windows Server 2008, Group Policy Preferences (GPP), and show how GPP can be used to replace functionality that is common in login scripts--reducing or eliminating the need for login scripts. In addition, we show the fine-grained targeting capabilities of Group Policy Preferences.
