In this session, we cover some common issues in troubleshooting the installation process for Microsoft Forefront Client Security installation process and its prerequisites, focusing on the standard three-server topology. Forefront Client Security relies on multiple software prerequisites on both servers and client computers to install correctly. We discuss how there are several separate roles included in Forefront Client Security that can be installed in different server configurations, or topologies, and these roles affect the installation of Forefront Client Security as well. We explore the post-installation configuration tasks to perform after Forefront Client Security is installed. Especially in a multiple-server topology, you may encounter problems on one or more of the Forefront Client Security servers. We take a look at some of the common issues here and explain how you can resolve them. You may also run into issues with the client computers protected by Forefront Client Security. We talk about identifying and resolving those issues to ensure that protected client computers receive the latest updates from Forefront Client Security and report their overall health, including any threats, back to the Forefront Client Security servers. By the end of this session, you should be able to identify and correct pre- and post-installation issues anywhere within your Forefront Client Security deployment.
