Event Overview

Communications with external services is a critical part of any mobile application; however, application communications handling can be difficult to test, especially for unexpected, incomplete, and incorrect communications messages. If you incompletely test your mobile application's communications handling, your application may become unstable or even crash when faced with the real world of mobile networking. But you do not have to be a networking expert to test your application's communications handling-you just need the right tool. In this session, we discuss the Local Server Framework, provided as part of the Windows Mobile 6 Software Development Kit (SDK). We demonstrate how you can create tests that can help you build better applications for Windows Mobile with the Local Server Framework because it provides control over the external service message handling in a predictable and repeatable manner. Attend this presentation to learn how you can use the Local Server Framework to exercise your application's communications handling and improve the reliability and stability of your application designed for Windows Mobile.
