The Business Data Catalog (BDC) in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 provides immediate integration benefits by allowing you to register Web services and data sources from a variety of systems. In the first half of this two-part
webcast, learn how to use BDC-registered metadata for a wide range of tasks, such as auto-provisioning Web Parts, importing and exporting data into and out of editable lists, importing user profile information, and indexing structured business data for use
in enterprise search queries. We also explain how the BDC works, how to connect it to Web services and data, and how to make use of the resulting cataloged business resources.
