TechNet Webcast: Office SharePoint Server 2007 Functional and Architectural Overview (Level 200)  

Dramatic changes in the workplace have resulted in the need for new processes and technologies that assist in content control, collaboration, searching, and security. The addition of server-based services to the 2007 Microsoft Office system addresses some of these needs. This webcast examines some of the features and capabilities in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 for organizational content management, portal creation, search, business processes management, and business intelligence. We also cover the administrative architecture, physical architecture, and security requirements for enabling the collaborative features of SharePoint Server 2007.

Presenter: Mike Fitzmaurice, Senior Product Manager, Microsoft Corporation

Mike Fitzmaurice is a technical product manager for the Information Worker division at Microsoft. He is responsible for promoting application development on Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services and Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003. Mike joined Microsoft in 1997 as a senior consultant with Microsoft Services, where he delivered solutions based on the company's messaging, collaboration, and portal technologies to governmental and private sector customers.
