Event Overview

In Part Eight of this webcast series, we discussed using the State and Notification Broker to detect a network connection and explained how to intercept text messages. This webcast shows you how to extend the functionality in our sample application to make use of the Microsoft MapPoint Web service when a connection to the Internet is available. We also compare and contrast the differences between making synchronous and asynchronous Web service calls.

Maarten Struys is responsible for the Real-Time and Embedded Competence Centre at PTS Software. Maarten has worked with managed code in Microsoft .NET environments since 2000. He has experience with Microsoft Windows CE and has worked with Windows Mobile development since its introduction.
