Event Overview

The new TreeView, Menu, and SiteMapPath controls in Microsoft ASP.NET 2.0 provide your Web site with user friendly navigation and require little work to implement. These controls work with a site map provider to derive the tree, menu, or site layout of pages from a data source. As shipped, ASP.NET 2.0 provides only one site map provider that reads data from the XML files of a particular schema. In this webcast, we examine how to create a custom site map provider that will allow site map information to be read from a database and yet still be utilized by exactly the same ASP.NET 2.0 navigation controls.

Presenter: Bernard Wong, MSDN Developer Community Champion, Microsoft Corporation
