Event Overview
|
Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 provides report viewer controls for both Windows Forms applications and Microsoft ASP.NET applications. These controls can either take advantage of a server running Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Reporting
Services, or they can process reports locally, without the Reporting Services component. This webcast explains how you can integrate reports into your applications. We discuss the advantages of control-only and server-based approaches, demonstrate both controls,
and build an application that displays reports without requiring a Reporting Services server.
Presenter: Geoff Snowman, Developer Community Champion, Microsoft Corporation
Geoff Snowman wrote his first Microsoft Windows programs back in 1985 using the Microsoft Windows 1.0 beta software development kit. Before he accepted the community champion role, Geoff was a senior consultant for Microsoft Consulting Services and an architect
evangelist with the Microsoft Mid-Atlantic district. He worked for a small consulting firm that created solutions based on Microsoft technologies before he joined Microsoft in 2001.
