Event Overview
|
Microsoft ASP.NET developers no longer need to create “helper” pages and the other administrative plumbing that every Web site needs. The membership features in Microsoft ASP.NET 2.0 take care of the details for you. From storing
users and roles in a data store to providing a rich set of controls that allow for a no-code solution to managing users and roles, ASP.NET 2.0 dramatically reduces the amount of work needed to manage these tasks. This webcast illustrates these benefits, and
explains how you can easily configure membership and roles; create pages using the built-in controls, and write code to manipulate the membership application programming interface directly.
Presenter: Ken Getz, Senior Consultant, MCW Technologies
Ken Getz is a senior consultant at MCW Technologies. He is coauthor of ASP.NET Developer's Jumpstart (Addison-Wesley, 2002), Access Developer's Handbook (Sybex, 2001), and VBA Developer's Handbook, 2nd Edition (Sybex, 2001). Ken is a Microsoft Regional Director
in Southern California, a Microsoft Support Most Valued Professional, and a member of the INETA Speakers Bureau. He speaks often at industry conferences like Tech•Ed, VSLive!, and Advisor DevCon and writes frequently for MSDN Magazine, Access/VB/SQL Advisor,
and other publications.
