Prior to joining Microsoft in 1992, Bill worked for a regional consulting firm, where he developed line-of-business applications for areas such as information technology service management, transportation logistics and financial management. He also spent more than seven years at StrideRite Corporation honing his development skills in Microsoft Visual Basic and Microsoft Visual C++
