This third session in our four-part series on building Microsoft Office Information Bridge Framework (IBF) solutions shows you how to understand and manipulate the metadata that is essential for any core solution using the IBF. Learn how IBF metadata allows you to define service operations, business entities, and user interface elements. The discussion includes demonstrations that take you through the steps necessary to implement a typical action pipeline, define user interface operations, define transformations, and build menus.

William (Bill) Steele, MCSD, is the Developer Community Champion supporting the Great Lakes district. Bill has more than 15 years of experience as a software developer, working with developers, IT managers and organizations. Prior to joining Microsoft, Bill worked for Regional Consulting Firm, where he developed applications that managed the internal operations of business in areas such as IT service management, transportation logistics and financial management. Bill has been working with Microsoft on various projects since 1992 and continues to prize his Visual Basic 1.0 Beta Thunder Clock.
