Learn to convert a PHP application to Microsoft ASP.NET 1.1. This webcast will cover the techniques and concepts you will need to migrate your own applications. The discussion also compares and contrasts the ways in which PHP hypertext preprocessing and ASP.NET manage validation and session state, event handling, database access, and authentication.

William (Bill) Steele is a software developer with more than 15 years of experience working with developers, information technology (IT) managers and organizations. Prior to joining Microsoft in 1992, Bill worked for a regional consulting firm, where he developed line-of-business applications for areas such as IT service management, transportation logistics and financial management. In addition, he was responsible for building integration applications between third-party applications and his clients' IT infrastructures. He also spent more than seven years at StrideRite Corporation honing his development skills in Microsoft Visual Basic and Visual C++.
