The Services-Oriented Architectures approach to designing applications has moved well beyond the hype stage and is now being widely used as a basis for contemporary application development, with Web services often being the key enabler and way services are
exposed. .NET developers can easily expose functionality as Web services, but a management layer is required in order to aggregate services into a robust solution. Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 fills that need.
Developing composite applications that are built on a Web services-enabled Services-Oriented Architecture often entails bringing together a variety of technologies. This presentation will focus on some of the common problems developers in this situation
face, and will present troubleshooting strategies, best practices and commonly used patterns.
