Developers and IT organizations face a multitude of challenges in maintaining a healthy Access database ecosystem. Join this session to review tools and strategies for managing shared database applications in multi-user environment. We will also discuss recommended usage scenarios for Access, and when to consider a move to SQL Server, including options available to help make for a successful migration.

Presenter: Zac Woodall, Program Manager, Office Data and BI, Microsoft Corporation

Zac Woodall is a program manger for the Microsoft Access development team. His team is currently working to shape the future of reporting in Access. Zac's current focus is on making reports dramatically easier to create and use. Previous projects include the Microsoft Office 2003 List Datasheet for Windows SharePoint Services, SharePoint Portal Server v.1, the Digital Dashboard Resource Kit v.3, and Windows ME.
