Event Overview
|
Industry analysts have confirmed that Host Integration Server 2004 is Microsoft's "Enterprise Calling Card". By attending this session, you can gain the knowledge, customer evidence, and confidence to use the HIS calling
card to build new relationships within enterprise IT organizations. The session would start off with describing a Basic IBM Data Center Topology and then show how HIS2004 extends interoperability to a Windows-based distributed network. You will learn how to
explain the benefits of key network and security infrastructure technologies available in HIS 2004, which can reduce complexity and costs while extending legacy investments. You will see how to demonstrate valuable application integration and data access features
to SOA-enable legacy systems using the .NET Framework, build operational data stores using SQL Server, or improve productivity workers by delivering Office extensions to enterprise information.
Presenter: Charles Machalani, Sr. Product Manager – Host Integration Server, Microsoft Corporation
Charles Machalani recently joined Microsoft, bringing more than 27 years of IT-related experience to his position as Microsoft's Senior Product Manager for Host Integration Server and BizTalk Adapters. Previously in his career,
Charles worked with multiple Microsoft business partners and industry leaders worldwide to provide Web-based technologies to IBM host systems in several vertical markets. Charles also spent more than ten years with Burroughs/Unisys in a variety of positions
involving systems engineering, sales, consulting and systems integration within the company's Burroughs Eastern African Division.
