Jason Buffington is the senior technical product manager for Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager. Jason has been working in the networking industry since 1989, focusing mainly on data protection and storage technologies. He is a Certified Business
Continuity Planner, MCSE, MCT, and was previously awarded Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) in storage technology. Jason has spoken around the world at numerous Microsoft events, and his work has been published in several industry journals, including
Storage Networking World, Storage Management Solutions, and Network World. Before joining Microsoft, he held positions at NSI Software with Double-Take and at Cheyenne/pre-CA around ARCserve. Jason studied computer science at Texas A&M University.
