Event Overview
|
Every vulnerability in a database infrastructure means attacks are that much more likely to succeed. With that in mind, the Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG)
compiled data to compare security vulnerabilities in Microsoft SQL Server 2005, the first Microsoft product to run through the Security Development Lifecycle (SDL), with those in competing products. Join this webcast as we review the highlights of the SDL,
illustrate the process of quantifying security quality, and explain what you can learn from the experiences that Microsoft had.
Presenter: Eric Ogren, Security Analyst, Enterprise Strategy Group
Eric Ogren has more than 15 years of enterprise security experience, highlighted by his present position as security analyst in the Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG). After earning degrees in mathematics from the University of Massachusetts and computer science
from Boston University, Eric has held a succession of software engineering roles, including building market data communications systems for Digital Equipment Corporation. He has also worked in senior product management and marketing positions at security companies
like RSA Security, Okena, and other start-up companies that shall remain nameless.
