Ron Markezich is chief information officer for Microsoft, responsible for driving and delivering information technology (IT) services and line-of-business applications. Under his direction, the IT department
provides leadership in the design of integrated strategies, processes and architecture, which ensures excellence in running a world-class utility. Previously, Markezich was the general manager of Global Technology Services at Microsoft IT, where he was responsible
for internal IT infrastructure and services. Before joining Microsoft in 1998, he worked at Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) in the Electronics & High Tech group where he focused on improving his clients' business operations using technology. Markezich
has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Notre Dame.
