Event Overview

Learn how easy it can be to integrate existing Lotus Notes applications into the rest of your company's infrastructure. Current Lotus Notes users will likely be required to make significant investments if they want to move to the next generation of Notes. The Microsoft .NET platform is a viable alternative to the next-generation Notes platform. This session examines how familiar .NET really is for a Notes Developer in comparison to J2EE and how much more cost-effective it is than learning J2 and paying for the associated licenses.

Presenter:  Gary Devendorf, Technical Evangelist, Microsoft Corporation

Gary Devendorf is a Technical Evangelist of collaboration at Microsoft, focusing on integration between .NET and Notes/Domino. Before coming to Microsoft in 2003, Gary worked at Lotus as a Product Manager responsible for numerous products, including LotusScript, Domino Objects, XML, COM toolkit, Domino Collaboration Objects, Java, and Web services. He is very well known in the Lotus Notes developer community, and many of his demos can be found at www.msdomino.net. Gary's favorite weekend activity is teaching skydiving.
