Event Overview
|
Most software development projects fail to deliver promised functionality on time and within budget. Extreme Programming (XP) and Scrum are popular, complimentary breeds of "agile" software development approaches that address this problem. In this
webcast Kyle will give an overview of what XP and Scrum are, explain how they work, and suggest how to get started using them. Scrum is useful for defining and managing any project, software development or otherwise. The twelve XP practices work best in software
development environments that support refactoring, automated testing, and continuous integration, such as Visual C#® using NAnt under Visual SourceSafe.
Presenter: Kyle R. Larson, Agile Evangelist and Architect, Advanced Technologies Integration
Kyle R. Larson works for Advanced Technologies Integration (www.atico.com) where he helps development teams leverage agile practices to deliver object-oriented systems. Kyle mentors and teaches agile development methods, is a certified Scrum Master,
and is the founder and facilitator of the Agile Experience Group (www.otug.org) which meets monthly in the Twin Cities.
