Event Overview
|
Find out how Microsoft IT maintains a smooth and structured process for implementing Active Directory schema changes. Part of the reason for this normalcy is that a significant effort is made towards separating the
business aspects of a schema change from the IT processes involved in the change. To minimize risks to users and applications, before a schema change is administered, it is assured that all parties such as business partners, application compatibility teams,
and technical reviewers have analyzed the change and potential effects on users and applications.
Presenter: Joel Silver, Microsoft IT OE 3 System Engineer, Microsoft Corporation
Joel Silver is a Technologist on the Microsoft IT Identity Management Team where he is responsible for the Microsoft IT implementation and architecture of MIIS. The Microsoft IT MIIS implementation is the primary tool used to sync Active Directory objects
and attributes within all internal forests at Microsoft. Joel has been involved in multiple identity management projects that deal with MIIS, metrics, Sarbanes-Oxley, and other IT solutions. Joel has extensive experience with IT applications at Microsoft.
Prior to joining Microsoft Joel was a test lead for a Seattle company that specialized in connecting IT systems.
