TechNet Webcast: Application Compatibility in 90 Days (Level 300)  

Deploying the Windows Vista operating system in the enterprise has moved from "We'll see…" to "Let's get it done," and application compatibility is typically identified as the biggest blocker to a successful, low-cost migration. In this session, we identify the tools, technologies, and best practices that have been used successfully by Microsoft services and partners to minimize or eliminate many of the perceived (and real) challenges that customers experience with both independent software vendors (ISV) and internally developed applications running on Windows Vista.

Steve Campbell is an architect in Microsoft Services focused on deployment and provisioning solutions. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Steve has been involved in the development and delivery of deployment solutions and best practices for more than seven years for Microsoft. Steve works closely with Redmond-based product and solution accelerator teams in development, testing, training, and documentation of Microsoft deployment technologies including the MDT/BDD, Application Compatibility Toolkit (ACT), and User State Migration Tool (USMT). Steve is also heavily involved in the development and training of both Microsoft Consulting Services and partner resources in the areas of deployment and provisioning including the Desktop Deployment Planning Services (DDPS). Steve speaks frequently at TechEd events, Microsoft Management Summit, IT Forum, and deployment-focused airlifts for Microsoft.
