Attend this session to learn how to integrate growing volumes of data with the new enhancements in Microsoft SQL Server 2008. We cover new technologies, like Change Data Capture and MERGE SQL statement, in addition to scalability improvements in SQL Server Integration Services, like lookup enhancements and data profiling.

Presenters: Gopal Ashok, Program Manager, Microsoft Corporation, and Catherine Chang, Sr. Program Manager, Microsoft Corporationand Bhargavi Srivathsan, Software Development Engineer /Test

Gopal Ashok is a program manager in the Microsoft SQL Server data replication and sync team. He has been working in the replication and sync area for over five years and is the owner of a number of replication technologies like transactional replication and peer-peer replication. Gopal is also the lead for the new Change Data Capture feature in Microsoft SQL Server 2008, which takes advantage of log-based change capture to provide change information that enables faster extract, transform, and load (ETL) processing.

Catherine Chang is a senior program manager in the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Integration Services (SSIS) team, owning the Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Shell, Technology Adoption Program (TAP) program, and launch program within the team. Working as program manager and development manager for six years in the industry, she joined Microsoft in August of 2007 and has released more than 25 products over the course of her career, managed teams across countries, and worked in both the hardware and software sectors. She received her master's degree from Columbia University in computer science and she is Project Management Professional (PMP) certified.
