Event Overview

As organizations extend their information technology (IT) infrastructures to provide partners with access to Web-based applications, they face difficult administrative and security challenges. In this webcast, we provide IT managers with an overview of Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), a component that enables extranet Single Sign-On (SSO) and identity federation. Learn how extranet SSO technology enables access control in an unmanaged, non-domain environment and provides security and personalization for users of Web-based applications. See how identity federation technology enables sharing of identity information more securely across security boundaries and reduces the administrative complexity and security challenges that accompany the sharing of applications with business partners. We also introduce a five-part ADFS webcast series in this session. Beginning in December of 2006, the webcast series is targeted toward the IT professionals in your organization who want to learn more about the technical side of ADFS. In this series, we cover how ADFS works and how ADFS fits into your network environment. We also provide guidance on deploying and administering ADFS, giving you enough information to get started securing and operating ADFS.
