Event Overview
|
The Business Productivity Infrastructure Optimization (BPIO) model helps companies build business productivity infrastructure to fuel business growth and transform their IT infrastructure into a strategic asset. People drive
business outcomes, but companies are challenged to achieve higher information worker productivity and effectiveness, while minimizing the cost and complexity of IT infrastructure. This is especially challenging for IT managers, who keep the IT infrastructure
running while planning for company growth over the long term. In this webcast, we describe how the industry-based BPIO model can help IT managers accomplish both. We provide an overview of the BPIO model, and illustrate how Microsoft IT applied the BPIO model
and benefited from the increased business productivity.
Presenters: Barbie Stafford, Senior Product Manager, Microsoft Corporation, and, Sean Squires, Microsoft IT Program Manager, Microsoft Corporation
Barbie Stafford is senior product manager in the Information Worker Product Management Group (IWPMG). She is responsible for the Business Productivity Infrastructure model and associated product marketing initiatives. Prior to joining her current group, Barbie
was an enterprise technology strategist specializing in portals and collaboration on the Microsoft Customer Advocacy and Technology Management (CATM) team, a corporate enterprise strategy and field technical leadership organization. Barbie brings more than
15 years of experience in technical sales and consulting for large organizations, such as Sun, Peoplesoft, Oracle, and Texas Instruments, and several start-up enterprises to her current role.
Sean Squires is a program manager in the IT Information Services group at Microsoft, where he is responsible for driving the development and design of custom portals using Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. Sean works closely with both business teams
and the product group to help evaluate the product and pilot showcase solutions. Prior to joining Microsoft, he helped develop analytic solutions for a financial call center operation and managed the development of several Internet-based search services. Sean
holds a master's degree in information sciences from the University of Washington.
