Event Overview
|
In this webcast, we show you how to capture a Windows Vista image, and how to view and edit image files and their configuration settings. The updated Windows Preinstallation Environment (PE) provides a platform for the imaging
features. See how to use the Ximage command-line tool to capture a Windows Vista image, and learn about the advantages of the new imaging capabilities provided by Windows Imaging (WIM) file format. We show how the installation process for WIM files differs
from other sector-based imaging formats, and highlight some of the new options the WIM format presents for deployment within an organization. We conclude with a look at the role imaging plays in the overall Windows Vista deployment process.
