Event Overview

To qualify for the Windows logo for hardware, Microsoft partners must pass the tests in the Windows Logo Kit (WLK). On May 5, 2009, Microsoft released WLK version 1.4 in sync with the release of Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC). WLK 1.4 includes tests primarily for the Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 logos. This Webcast provides you with an understanding of the major changes in WLK 1.4 and the details behind the main logo program hardware tests that have been changed between WLK  1.3 and WLK 1.4, including tests for audio, connectivity, network media, portable devices, sensors, storage, and others.  Windows 7 client additional qualifications (AQs) and Windows Server 2008 R2 tests are also discussed. The Webcast also describes the WLK release and retirement schedule, sites that provide helpful information about the Windows Logo Program, and the download site for WLK 1.4.
