Event Overview

For systems to qualify for the Windows logo they must meet the System Fundamentals requirements and pass the System Fundamentals tests. This Webcast defines the key components of System Fundamentals tests, explains the Windows Logo Program policies on systems testing, and gives an overview of the new Windows 7 client System Fundamentals tests together with tips from the test developer on how to run these tests. The Webcast also provides details on the new System Power and Performance test suite.  While the System Power and Performance tests are not required in order to qualify for the logo, partners can use these tests to differentiate their products by improving their power and performance.

Presenter: Craig Ziegler, Test Lead, Microsoft

Craig is a test lead responsible for the Windows Driver Kit, Systems Logo Programs, and Device Fundamentals test tools in all device logo kits.  He has over nine years experience working with the logo kits and is passionate about improving both the quality of the Windows driver ecosystem as well as the experiences used to develop, test, and qualify drivers for the logo.   When he’s not working to improve the kits and test tools, Craig can be found whitewater kayaking the rivers or skiing the slopes of the Cascade mountains.
