Presenter: Simon Floyd, Global Industry Technology Strategist, Microsoft Corporation

Simon Floyd is the global industry technology strategist for innovation and product life cycle management within the Microsoft Worldwide Industry Solutions group. Simon is responsible for the overall industry value strategy, vision, and solutions-based architecture to address current and future trends, customer pains, and opportunities. Prior to joining Microsoft, Simon held leadership roles in product strategy at Actify, Cadence Design Systems, and Alventive. Before a career in the software industry, Simon provided product design services to manufacturers of automotive, consumer, and industrial products. He is additionally responsible for innovations in residential solar electric power generation and handheld electronic point-of-sale devices. Simon has also held several lecturing positions at universities in Australia, teaching industrial design and digital visualization.
