Event Overview
|
Simulcast from Microsoft Tech·Ed 2007 in Orlando, FL.
See a live hacking demonstration that exposes the tools and techniques used by hackers today to attack a Windows-based network. Everybody talks about security, but only few people know what can really happen if you do not have all the security controls in place.
The presenter, Marcus Murray, has performed numerous penetration tests at customer sites, and most of his customers share common security issues. Most security issues are easy to mitigate if you just know that they are there. Do you? Examples of security attacks
we demonstrate: client-side exploits, wireless network attacks, Trojan deployment, Web/SQL-injections, system enumeration, brute force attacks, man-in-the-middle attacks, and key logging. If you really want to understand security, then you must attend this
session!
Presenter: Marcus Murray, Senior Security Advisor, Truesec
Marcus Murray is a senior security architect at Trusec, an independent team of security and infrastructure consultants. In addition to his work designing secure infrastructures, he also performs security assessments for a variety of customers, including banks,
military organizations, and large corporations. He is frequently engaged as keynote speaker for security events where he often focuses on security threats, vulnerabilities, and awareness. Marcus was rated the top speaker at IT Forum 2005 in Europe where he
presented "Why I Can Hack Your Windows Network in a Day." Marcus also teaches professional penetration-testing courses for military, governmental, and police personnel.
