Presenter: Chad Jones, Group Product Manager, Microsoft Corporation
As a senior product manager on the Windows Client Team at Microsoft, Chad Jones is responsible for aiding in the strategic planning, evangelism, and marketing for application virtualization technologies. Chad joined Microsoft through the acquisition of Softricity,
a Boston-based independent software vendor (ISV). He is one of the creators of the second-generation Softricity platform, SoftGrid. As senior director for product strategy at Softricity, he contributed in several key areas, including strategic product planning,
technical evangelism, companion product engineering, customer design reviews, and market definition and positioning. Chad was also responsible for the creation of the Return on Virtualization (ROV) Calculator, which Forrester Research recognized as the first
accepted return on investment (ROI) model for virtual applications.
