Event Overview

This lab is intended for IT professionals responsible for deploying images in enterprise environments. In this lab, learn to use Windows Image Manager (WIM) to automate the installation of a reference computer. Also, learn to create an image of a reference computer using Windows PE, Sysprep and ImageX. Finally, learn techniques for modifying WIM images without having to recapture an image of a reference computer.

 

In this lab you will complete the following:

 

·         Use ImageX to Customize WinPE

·         Use ImageX to Create a Bootable CD Image

·         Use Windows System Image Manager to create a distribution share

·         Use Windows System Image Manager to create a simple Unattend.XML file

·         Use ImageX to modify a WIM file and to split a WIM into multiple smaller files
