Event Overview
|
This session was originally presented live at Microsoft Tech·Ed 2005.
Microsoft SQL Server 2005, ADO.NET 2.0, and the rest of the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 have been in the works for some time now, and they bring lots of innovation with them. That's not all. These products and technologies have been carefully designed to work
together and provide an excellent platform for integrated database application development. In this webcast, we discuss the key features that make ADO.NET 2.0 and SQL Server 2005 a winning combination. We touch on topics such as using ADO.NET inside SQL Server
common language runtime (CLR), System.Transactions integration, asynchronous command execution, new data type support, and more. We also review the new provider factory model in ADO.NET 2.0 that is used to build provider-agnostic, data-access code.
Presenter: David Sceppa, Program Manager, Microsoft Corporation and Pablo Castro, Technical Lead, Microsoft Corporation
