Event Overview
|
This lab demonstrates how to build a Windows Communication Foundation service and client, and how easily those services can be modified. You’ll host the service first in a .NET console application and then in IIS, and also secure
the communication between the client and service.
Scenario:
You’ve developed an application that calculates the value of derivatives, a financial entity whose value is based on the performance of another entity. For instance, a stock option is a derivative that depends on the value of the stock.
This complex application is in high demand, and you want to enable other software systems to access it. Of course, you also want to secure this sensitive communication to protect your valuable information. In this lab, you’ll see how the Windows Communication
Foundation lets you do all these things easily.
