Join us in December 2009 for the latest Microsoft UNPLUGGED Update. Come to TechNet morning for IT Pros and/or afternoon MSDN sessions for Developers.
MSDN Sessions
Session 1: Windows Azure – All You Need To Know To Get Started!
We started talking about Windows Azure at Microsoft's Professional Developer's Conference in 2008. Over the past 12 months we've listened to the feedback from the technology preview programme and we're launching Azure at PDC 2009. Come along and see how you
can use it in your solutions. Learn about the benefits of building in the cloud and when and why it makes sense to businesses of all sizes. We'll take you through the announcements from PDC 2009 and walk you through some samples showing how you can get started
taking advantage of the Windows Azure platform.
Some of the topics we'll cover include:
• Architecting for the cloud (including some lessons learned from early adopters)
• The End-to-end experience including tools, debugging and deployment.
• The Windows Azure portal, including reporting and billing.
• How to develop Azure applications with PHP and native code.
Session 2: Get ready for Visual Studio 2010
Visual Studio 2010 will be released in early 2010 and promises to be a huge step forward from our development environment today. Coming with new programming languages, diagramming tools, testing enhancements, project types and a wealth of additional
improvements, Visual Studio 2010 will provide benefits to all users. John-Daniel Trask will be presenting these new features and how Visual Studio 2010 can improve developer productivity and help your organisation deliver more robust solutions easier. John-Daniel
will also be discussing changes being made to the editions of Visual Studio and MSDN subscriptions so that you'll be ready to run with Visual Studio 2010!
