Description: Whether you have used System Management Server before or are just thinking about it for the first time, this webcast presents the information you need to plan for an upgrade or adoption of SMS 2003. The session starts by showing the new features of Microsoft® Systems Management Server 2003 and proceeds to show how SMS 2003 integrates with Network and Operating System Technologies such as Active Directory® and Windows® Management Instrumentation. From there the presentation shows the improvements in asset management, software distribution and reporting in SMS 2003.

Presenter: John Baker, TechNet Presenter, Microsoft Corporation

John Baker, originally from England, started in Microsoft® Consulting Services as an infrastructure consultant, then had a brief stint in Solutions Sales with Windows® 2000 Datacenter, and most recently was a Product Technology Specialist for Windows 2000 and Microsoft management technologies. Possessing a broad knowledge of Microsoft technologies, his background has concentrated on Windows® NT® and Windows 2000, Windows 2000 Datacenter, Systems Management Server, Microsoft Operations Manager and Desktop deployments. Outside Microsoft John is an avid scuba diver, and has run some marathons as well.
